Re: knocking hitting?

I'm not sure what it is, but I definitely wouldn't be running the engine with it doing that!

Re: knocking hitting?

My quick take:
If the pulley is loose, it is probably the pulley.
If the pulley is not the culprit, it could be a rod bearing.
If pulley, you probably need a new one, plus bolt and key.
Also need to borrow a 150 lb torque wrench... what is it 130 ft lbs on the crank bolt? Something VERY snug Pulley could have come loose from wimpy torque wrench.
Rod bearing??? Out she comes.
Good luck.

It's 240 ft. lbs. according to the information I have. Stock LS1 balancers don't have a keyway. Also, make sure the balancer is pulled onto the crankshaft correctly. Do not use the balancer bolt to pull it on!

I'm with you. I don't believe it could be a main or a rod because with the amount of rotation he is moving it there is no way its a rod or main.

I'm guessing oil pump. Get to yanking it out, motor has to come out anyway.

Scratch that. I just watched the second video.
Sounds like its around the flywheel.
