pedals in third gen auto to lsx manual question.

Hi guys,
My third gen car is a 1992 z28 auto , and my donor is a 2000 z28 m6.
I was looking at both pedal assemblies and it looks like i can just unbolt my third gen pedals and install my complete assy from the 2000 z28 donor car i have. I am a little concerned about mounting the master cylinder for the clutch. was just looking for any tidbits from anyone ahead of time. thanks for any advice.

Do a search, they're not direct bolt in, but are easy to modify

Re: pedals in third gen auto to lsx manual question.

I have read that some people have had problems after installing the 4th gen pedals, such as firewalls cracking. I also read that it may be better to use third gen manual pedals and the 4th gen master cylinder. Seems like most are using the 4th gen pedals, but i would think it would be better to use third gen pedals designed to fit the car if it is going to do the job. thanks again guys

my 4thgen pedals work great and fit great.no cracking of the firewall and ive made over 20 hard passes at the track and beat up on the car alot on the street.Im using a tick master though which is another solid piece and mounted flat on the firewall.only mod was drilling out to holes and cutoff the 4thgen gas pedal, swapped pedals pretty easily.

Im putting 4th gen pedals in my t56 swap car as well. Just had to make the 4 holes for the brake booster a little bigger, and I had to widen the top hole for the single bolt on the top of the assembly. Fit very well.
