Yes sir those are 18" iroc replicas, and I was letting the engine get up to temp and purging air out of the system.

Do you know if the OE IROC-Z center caps still fit those replica wheels? Looks great!

Re: 89 iroc ls1/t56 swap

How did you get the old 5 speed indicator out so the 6 speed one could go in??
Random, I know, but I got a new centre piece from hawks and don't want to mess it up.

Re: 89 iroc ls1/t56 swap

I believe the original center caps will fit in the replicas..and the 5speed emblem on the console I just covered it with a decal that hawks sells for the 6 speed conversion if that's what you were referring to.

You've got that right. I was keeping track so good of all the money I spent, then all hell broke loose on ordering parts. It's crazy how easy and fast it can get out of hand. And man, your video right here...
... just motivated the hell out of me to get mine done. Sounds mean as hell too. Nice job!

Re: 89 iroc ls1/t56 swap

Thanks....Has hawks stainless headers and y pipe to a cutout right before back axle then goes through a flow master muffler..in video cutout is open... I like it you can really hear the cam that way I'll eventually get me an electric cutout valve for it. Been driving it around putting some miles on it and man I love it. My next thing will probly be suspension upgrades n maybe my boss's moser rear with 373's if I can talk him out of it.

Re: 89 iroc ls1/t56 swap

Man that sounds so good, I've seen so many LSX upgrades on this board and even one at work into a '95 S10. I want it but will have to wait til after the first of next year. Right now finishing some rear end and suspension upgrades. Everything else is ready just need the bucks for the LS/trans. I want to do a H/C/I with a 4L60E.

Re: 89 iroc ls1/t56 swap

Its really not that bad if you have time to do it some how I got it done in 6 months give or take.. personally I think its ideal if u have a donor car..wrecked or whatever that way your not piecing it together.
