5.3 swap in process
I have a few questions
#1 is my 87 tpi 305 speedo cable driven?
#2 whats all in junction with the bulk harness on the passanger side next to booster besides light assembly
#3 I have a manual trans and auto truck pcm how would I go about hooking up the clutch safety switch
#4 and once I do the swap sence im relocating the gauge connectors to the new harness do I need all the wiring under the dash
a/c heater core box deleted have man trans no c/c just doing simple swap just not 100% on whats all staying or going yet looking for a clean wire tuck and more taken out the easier
#5 plan on using the 3899621 bell housing do I need the pivot ball and fork for that using t5 for now or can I use it out of my t-5 bellhousing
#6 can I use third gen slave cylinder and where would I mount it too
#7 does the ls2 maf/map and truck maf/map have same connectors
any advice, suggestions, pics will greatly be appreciated thanks trevor

I moved this to the LTX and LSX Engine Swap sub-forum.
Is there a cable coming out of your transmission tailshaft housing, or wires?
What booster on the passenger side?
If you mean driver side, there is a link in the LS1 swap sticky that has some 3rd gen pin-outs.
The starter clutch safety switch doesn't go through the PCM.
You still need the dash to operate, right?
You can remove cruise control wiring, heater-only wiring is simpler than AC wiring, but you can use the AC wiring to run the heater-only system.
I'll leave that for someone else to answer. I don't recall any successful LSx/T5 swaps.
I believe they do, if the donor truck had the 5-wire integrated MAF/IAT.
I do know the LS3 MAF has a different connector, even though they are both 5-wire.
What are you doing for intake manifold, oil pan, accessories?
There is a sticky with LS swap pictures.

Re: 5.3 swap in process
1) If it's factory, it's electric. Firebirds were electric mid 86 to 92. Camaros 90-92
2) Assuming you mean drivers side. Relay center, light harness and engine harness bulkhead. Engine harness primarily has power and gauges ran through the c100
3) As five7 pointed out, the safety switch is independent of the PCM. There is an optional clutch switch for the PCM if using 4th gen pedals. It tells the PCM to bump idle when the clutch is in and deals with the cruise system
4) Up to you
5&6) I'll hold off until I put some miles on my T5 swap to recommend a course of action for others
7) Fbody 3 wire fits lt1/ls1 75mm mafs
Truck and ls2 85mm 5wire mafs interchange
Ls3/7 card style 5wire mafs use a different connector
Maps are the same for all early LSx engines
Ls3/9/As use the newer style, possibly some trucks I haven't seen
Advice: read the swap sticky and do a search. Chances are good whatever combo you're planning has already been done
