Factory A/C on a LS1 swap

I saw someone on here a while back use their factory third gen A/C compressor on a LS1. Do any of you guys know where I can find that mounting bracket for my stock compressor? I'm not too crazy about cutting the K-member to clear the 4th gen unit... so it would be much easier to use my stock lines and compressor. I'm finally getting all of my parts to get this motor built and installed... got the Racing Innovation long tubes in and my T56 trans from Hawks Third Gen. Also have my cam, LS1 oil pan set up, motor mounts, pistons, etc...

So I'm getting there... buying the accessories now which is why I'm trying to find that bracket. Thanks for the help!

Summit sells them, made by Holley. This is the kit I plan to use. Like you I was not crazy about cutting the K-member plus I still like the single belt serpentine drive by using a high mount. Check out Kwik Performance with the Sanden mini compressor. http://www.kwikperf.com/lsx_ac.html

That's an option for not cutting the K-member. But it's not "factory", as it requires a Sanden compressor.

Very true but it looks to be a more compact option, the old factory compressor is huge. I know the OP was asking about the factory compressor but if I were concerned with factory the LS would not be an option. I had a board member remind me once that after mods what is factory is a moot point.

The Holley bracket lets you use the R4 compressor in the factory location. Someone here used it and put up pictures. The compressor is slightly counter clockwise from where it is on the L98 sep setup and it is very close to the inner fender.

I plan on going that route when I do my swap so I don't have to notch my crossmember, plus I have 28lbs of R12, so I want to stick with the factory stuff.
