Use a T10 with an LSx?

Just as the title says, I have a T10 in my '82 Camaro and was wondering if it will work with an LSx (mine is actually a 5.3L aluminum engine punched out to 5.7). Yeah I know a T56 would be "nicer" but I use my car primarily for autocross where all I need is first and second gear.

I did a search here and could only come up with three threads were T10s were mentioned and nothing conclusive.

Sure you could, but the '82 version used the 3.42:1 first gear, making it the weakest version.

Didn't think that was possible without sleeving the block.

No sleeving required for that.

Here you go. http://ls1tech.com/forums/conversion...-ls-motor.html

Good luck finding the flywheel though. I got one, but I don't know whether you can still find them or not, It took me a little while to find a place that still sold the SACHs flywheel. I never used it since I decided to go a different route with my project, if you can't find one and you're interested send me a PM. I also have a clutch and bellhousing I don't need either
