Idle speed on stock LS?

Idle speed on stock LS?
Whats a typical idle speed for a non modified LS eng? My gauge is reading around 300/400 rpm in park.Seems kinda low, but what do I know.

Is the PCM set for 4cyl or 8cyl output?
Stock is 4cyl and shows up half value when displayed on 8cyl tachs
800-1000rpm sound about right for stock engines in park

Yep, its 2 PPR, guessing that means 4 banger, right?
The tach (speedhut) came w/ a 4.7k ohm resistor, which i used. Should i remove it?

Not sure on the specific value
If the gauge came with a resistor or suggests using one with it, then definitely do. Its a booster for weak signals from the PCM
