LS swap question
LS swap question
With regards to doing an LS swap, are all LS engines in general the same? (Fittment and prosses of doing the swap) I could buy this

Fitment and all that, yes they are the same. Mounts, exhaust, trans bolt-up, etc.
$800CA sounds about right for a motor/trans pullout.
You take out the 305 TPI, and put the 5.3 in. Rotate all hardware counter-clockwise until loose. Installation is the reverse of removal. 
You'll need a different oil pan, torque arm arrangement, crossmember if memory serves, and probably accessory mounts for the front of the motor (the truck stuff is up too high and the hood won't close on it).

Two suggestions:
1) Read up and post in the LTX and LSX engine swap subforum (where this is now).
2) Read the LS1 Swap sticky in the top section of the subforum. It includes info on starting with a truck engine.
