LQ4 Swap into 3rd Gen Camaro. List of parts to buy.

I have a 1990 Camaro RS 5.0 V8 Throttle Body, 4L60E auto trans 2.73 rear.Slightly under budget but if theres no other way i'll pay. I need to know where to get the ECU/ECM re-wired for a plug-and-play into the Camaro. A place online to send it. I've had terrible luck. Friend tried to do it himself and totally bombed it. Any and all information is helpful to me.

Or possibly even just a complete (or part of) list of all the parts you had to change to make the swap happen.

Take a look at the stickies at the top of the forum. There is enough info there to cover the basics. As far as wiring, there are plenty of DIY methods outlined in this forum or you could check out places like Hawks, PSI Conversions, or members on TGO (Pocket).

Check out this video I put up recently. It’s not 100% budget motivated, but I listed a link to some of the parts I used, and I explain some of the stuff you might run into. It may help answer some of your questions.

I have one in mind from a 2002 Chevy Suburban 2500 that used to be mine. Was totaled after I sold it to my friend... now its just sitting there. I can get the whole wiring harness if need be and most of the pig tails.

Very helpful, thank you. I've used Painless Wiring Harness before and its been a hit and miss. One time it worked great (74 Jeep CJ-5) and then terribly with a 1970 AMC Javelin. Could have been operator error though. I hadn't even considered a tubular cross member before. Nor the poly mounts to prevent the rubbing of the oil pan and A/C Compressor. About how far back did you notch the cross member for the oil pan. Is it anywhere near enough to worry with its integrity being compromised? Should I weld an extra support into the front section of cross member?

Also, how do you like the 5.3? Comparatively to the old 350 you had in there before. (Not even going to ask about the 3.1 V6 lol)
