LS1 swap high fuel pressure 100psi

I'm getting ready to start my engine for the first time and primed the fuel system today. No leaks, but 100 psi of fuel pressure. Should be aprox 60 psi but I cannot figure out what's going on.

Racetronix fuel pump new

plastic tank
fuel pump relay good
Power at fuel pump good
Wix 33737 filter good (replaced my new one with another new one)
Russell classic hose
2 different gauges read the same pressure

Here's the car's build thread:

What am I missing?

Fuel filter has the pressure regulator in it and you no doubt plumbed it wrong

That was the very first thing I checked, just forgot to mention it in the post.

I physically traced the send and return lines from the tank to the correct ports on the filter. 3/8" input, 5/16" return.

Then there is a restriction in the return line. Did you remove the pressure regulator from plastic tank?

Re: LS1 swap high fuel pressure 100psi

The filter regulator in and return ports are illogically placed....
The outer one on the 2 port side is the inlet. The center one the return

Agreed it's a little unusual, but the diameters give them away.

That's got to be it because I don't remember pulling the regulator out when I installed the fuel pump.

That was it. Pulled the regulator, Threw my original wix filter on and pressure is perfect. However, no start.......Troubleshooting now.
