Anyone Running 98-02 Fbody Balancer/accessories with Dirty Dingo Low Mount Alternator
Hi Folks,
Trying to see if anyone is running the Dirty Dingo Motorsports Low Mount Alternator bracket with 98-02 f body/GTO Harmonic Balancer and if it clears the sway bar/Steering gear box
Link: https://www.dirtydingo.com/shop/prod...oducts_id=1426
Engine: LS3, 6.2L. Running 98-02 Fbody Balancer. Built from 0 Mile short block bought from GM and blueprinted the motor and built it from the ground up during my apprenticeship in Santa Rosa.
I've spent hours on end trying to find someone on here and LS1 tech that is running the Dirty Dingo Motorsports Low Mount Alternator bracket and fbody/GTO balancer but most folks are either running the truck or corvette balancer
Currently deciding between Kwikperformance and Dirty Dingo Motorsports brackets but wanted to see if anyone has clearance problems with Dirty Dingo's Low Alternator mount bracket. Kwik Performance mounts wide, but they will clear with no problems (Just a little more expensive
)
If you know someone running an fbody/gto balancer and dirty dingo brackets please let me know! Last thing I'd want is to set the motor in the mounts and end up hitting my steering gear box.
Any feedback is appreciated

i'm not using the f-body balancer. but using the vortec spacing with the dirty dingo low mount utilizing the large case alternator. it fit i didn't have to clearance anything but if it was the f-body spacing i don't think it will fit without clearance

Thanks for the feedback 86z!
I'm still on the fence on running Dirty Dingo's brackets on the Camaro and I'm leaning towards Kwik Performance because they utilize the Tuff Stuff Performance Power Steering pump and the brackets place all the accessories up top and accessible with no clearance issues.
I am running Dirty Dingo brackets on my LQ9 that I built for my 1993 K1500.
I'll post some pictures and update the thread once I get to installing the brackets and again when I drop the motor in.

Are you running the 98-02 f body / GTO harmonic balancer? or something different? (Truck/Corvette)
Are you running that LQ9 Truck motor mentioned in your signature too?
I like Dirty Dingo's billet pulleys and their brackets. IMO, there finish looks better than Kwik Performance and LSX Concepts.
Hard making the call when theres a lot of options. Functionally, I like that LSX Concepts places everything above where I can easily access and work on the accessories if needed. Aesthetically and cost wise, I like the Dirty Dingo setup.
Got any pics by a chance?
Your response and time is appreciated!
