Ls1 swap oil pressure gaugs issues
I just finished my ls1 t56 swap in my camaro and the oil pressure gauge is pegged with out the car on, just switch the ignition and the needle stands straight up. The gauge has always worked before the swap, even worked when i had the 24x set up on the old sbc. Iv changed the sender twice and same result its a single wire. Any ideas/ advice would be greatly appreciated!

I don't have a Camaro and can't visualize what you mean. When you say the needle stands straight up, do you mean it reads high pressure?
I think the ground path for the oil pressure gage inside the gage cluster is broken (open circuit). There is still a ground path to the oil sender and that pushes all the current through just one of the two coils in the oil gage and pegs the needle.

Probably either that, or the wire broken somewhere. If the circuit is open (disconnected), that looks to the gauge like max possible pressure. If the wire is shorted to ground the gauge should go to 0.

If i ground the wire with a paper clip to the block the gauge reads zero

OK, so the wiring and gauge are good.
Doesn't leave much else to consider.
