Hey, I just wanted to know for my 92 camaro will I need to buy an entire tubular K member or can I just buy the motor mounts for the 5.3 ls swap?

Re: 5.3 LS Swap
Lots of options from many vendors. Take some time to rear up on the stickies up top which will help guide you. Most choose to run the f-body LS1 oil pan but there are other options as well (Holley). You can use your existing K-member but will be required to notch it it you run the traditional low mount AC compressor.

I used cheap 1” set back adapter plates that allowed me to use factory sbc motor mounts. Cost was $30-$50.
No need to swap k member. I used a factory ls1 (f body) oil pan. I did not notch my kmember because I plan on running aftermarket accessories which will mount ac compressor on the top passenger side like a third gen with a sbc.

Re: 5.3 LS Swap
I'm using a stock LS1 F-body oil pan with UMI motor mounts (both the engine and body side). I have about 1/2" clearance everywhere between the oil pan and stock k-member. My car doesn't have A/C so I didn't have to modify the k-member. I originally tried using Spohn LS swap motor mounts and the oil pan was right on the stock k-member. I wouldn't recommend using Spohn products.
