Hey guys I’m looking into putting a A&A C5 blower and bracket on my thirdgen I’ve seen guys have used this on our cars. But I was wondering has anyone been able to use the corvette a/c on there car? Or would I be able to space out the supercharger bracket to align to fbody accessories and be good?
What type of engine mounts are you using tho? I’ve heard that when using Spohn mounts since it mounts engine on stock location it don’t give enough clearance on ac compressor
I used the mounts from Hawks. The engine is not moved forward as I did not have to modify the cross member for oil pan clearance.
I actually had the same plans to put a C5 Charger on my car.
After reading all the "It wont fit" responses I was nervous, but it ended up being rather easy.
I bought a factory Corvette AC line & changed the ends off to mate with the 3rd gen connections.

Hawks uses Spohn mounts I believe so all you had to do was the normal notching as the fbody compressor needs then? Or did you have to trim more? This is really good news for me because if I can fit corvette accessories I would just run that and a 10rib setup on my car as well.
Yes they are the Spohn mounts that I got from Hawks, the brand wasn't listed but the photos are the same. You do have to notch slightly more.... look at the pic posted, as the Vette accessories are further back.
I actually bent the mount ears slightly to move the engine back a little further due to the headers being rather tight, maybe an additional 1/2".
It's best to suspend the engine & bolt the cross member to it for a trial fit before install.
You have to cut closer to the coil spring as the AC lines connect to the side instead of the rear of the compressor.
Oh okay l see what you mean now. I bought the ac lines from hawks for the fbody compressor so maybe those lines would not fit with Vette compressor. You have any pics by any chance with your compressor installed and the lines.
Oh okay well atleast that’s good to know. I emailed A&A to see if they had spacers for the brackets if not I will for sure do what you did I didn’t know it was possible was there any issues with any of the steering stuff?
