What to look for when buying used LS1?
Hello,
I am just curious as to the things to look over when buying one of these engines used.
The gentlemen I am purchasing from claims it's got around 55k miles on it, but there is no way to confirm that of course.
I've never purchased one of these engines before, and since It's a good chunk of change, I would like to be aware of if there are any common issues or problems to look out for.

Sofa has said it best. But the post is talking about an L31 Vortec engine. The same applies to any engine.
