C100 Protection

For those of you who reworked or created a new harness, what are you using to protect the engine side of the C100 connector? The OEM cover would be great but what if you don't have one?

Re: C100 Protection

Its just a thin plastic "hood" that wraps around the connection. I think you can still buy them aftermarket. Contact VortecIroc as he would know better than anyone. Or, just go ****** one from your local junk yard if that's an option.

Re: C100 Protection

I looked for ages and couldn't find the cover

I recommend putting a dab of dielectric grease on the open side if you don't have an original to recycle

Re: C100 Protection

vorteciroc has said the grease covers are discontinued, Post #39, https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/elec...al-poster.html

If it were me, I would find a used set. Seems like an essential item toward keeping water out of an already unsealed connector assembly.
With grease cover on left, without grease cover on right.... I'd much prefer the one on the left with the splash shield in place.
