Success...Kind of....

So today was the big day! I cranked her over and she started immediately and idled perfectly. Now the bad news...No oil pressure I hope just at the gauge. I had planned to do this last weekend but hit a snag and ended up pushing the first start to this weekend. I primed the engine last week so I assume it might've all drained back down so zero oil pressure could be a thing. (This is not a new build engine but it had been sitting for about 1 year so I thought why not prime it)

However, my gauge might be bad. Let me know if I'm testing it correctly...I thought the correct procedure was to turn the car on and touch the tan/e5 wire to the ground. You should see the gauge spike. In my case, the gauge spikes when I turn the car on and then to 0 then I ground the tan wire. Is that not backward? I'm about to go out and get a manual pressure gauge and give it a test but I thought I'd drop this here first.

Some more info...
ls1 Engine and factory Ls1 sender.

Re: Success...Kind of....

Think I dodged a bullet...I hooked up a mechanical gauge and I have 40psi at idle. Whoop Whoop!

Maybe a bad sender or gauge...
