Vintage Air and PCM under dash

Has anyone installed a Vintage air and used a LS1 PCM under the dash, I am running out of space and I am thinking it's not going to work

Re: Vintage Air and PCM under dash

Could the PCM possible go flat just over the hoses and have the dash clear it?

I am running an E38 ECM with a vintage air system, both under the dash. Which VA system are you using? It looks like you have it heavily biased to the passenger side. The dash will clear where you suggest placing it. I have a lot of relays and such mounted there.

It's a Gen 5 Sure fit system, The darn ECM is so big I was not sure if it would clear. I also have to see if the wiring will reach to that area and I am thinking the where it plugs into the Ecu it would need to enter from the side

I installed this Magnum IV unit 10 years ago. A plate was made to cover the hoses inside the original blower box and an E38 ECU was mounted to the plate. The engine harness comes into the car from the right kick panel under the blower box (using the OE bulkhead harness pass through fitting).

Loosely mount the dash shell back up and try to fit the ECM in the same location as the original. There should be room directly over the hoses

Mounting the ECM under the carpet like that will make a huge bulge under the passenger's feet

Thank You, I am going to finish installing all the ductwork and then see what room is left but I think that it will fit I didn't realize how much room is in the dash
