A small peekaboo
Ok I finally got some sneek peek pics of the paint! She's not all together or anything so it still looks a bit retarded.... at least to me anyway because seeing these cars without all the pieces just rather weirds me out......
Soooo....I'm only going to post the hood peek pic....

I think that looks pretty cool. Should be a head turner with a drop and some nice wheels on it!

Great looking flame job, even if I'm a fan of the real-flame paint jobs, there's still life in the "single colour" flames.

Yeh my rims do look pretty ****ty now don't they! I'm open to rim suggestions if anyone has any. I like the Torque Thrust II and there's another 5-star rim I like also that I don't know the name of. I'll have to find a pic.....

I posted another thread about how I need urgently- someone to make me some reverse cut stencils that are in Sofachrome font in the stock size and spell IROC-Z...
maybe someone checking this thread makes those sort of things...
Decals would work also!

You can't even tell in the pics but the car is the most beautiful medium orange with pearl. I'll have GOOD pics in a few weeks.....gotta wrap up a few things so the guy can finish the car....one being that we need a stencil done in the font I want !!

i think it looks pretty damned good. I wasn't crazy about the front/hood shot, but I'm definatly liking the side profile. looks great!

I sure hope I'm ready by then! I should have the car back in 2 wks and then have to do some tuning which could take a few weekends to get it right. Then I'll be ready for action!

On or Off
OK what is the opinion on the word on the side. I have planned this whole time to have the word put on the side so there is no question as to 'what kind of camaro is it'.....it's an IROC! Sooo......
what's the opinion....put it on or leave it off....?
Oh and it's not the best photoshopping.....this program at work isn't the best for adding a word on a pic!

no definitely put it on. but i would put it towards the back of the door like on the newer model irocs i dont know what years but mine is to the back of the door. that would look best i think b/c up front its too close to the flames.
cant get the pic to load but here's a link to the wheels i would put on it they would look great with your color combos.

I think the IROC needs to be on the door. The placement looks off just a bit. I'd like to see it in different spots and different sizes though it's not my car so just amke sure you love it.

hey what about this....
what about putting a smaller "Iroc-Z" on the pillar behind the side windows? it would be in the same color orange as the flames are. i think it'd look pretty sweet

I'm actually going to just leave it off and am going to look into getting some IROC-Z emblems for the rocker panels instead. I bought the Z28 ones but think if I can get some like the ones I saw on Sinister's ride that would be the ticket! I just hope they can be easily put on after the painting is all done and such.

i like the side pic. i would go with those black z06's and choose the centercaps with the z28 logo on it. or if you have cash, the smootie 2's...drool.

It's happening! LOL all that's holding it up now is the fact that the first person that had it apparently threw away the window sweeps....the painter that has it now called at the first of the week saying he needed them to finish so I just bit the bullet and ordered some new ones that should be to him by this weekend.....THEN he can finish!

Re: A small peekaboo
sofachrome is the wrong font. Close, but not quite. I use Super Ultra 911 for my vinyl stuff, & Good Times for my Pontiac font.

Re: A small peekaboo
I can read the date, but I figured it was still valid info, as far as being the info on the correct font.
