Great looking machine!
What are the plans for the hood - imho body colour would be the finishing touches to the stocker look.
Excellent work

Re: Updated pix of the LS1 IROC*
my god is that car 'effin awesome!
I really want to buy a car and build it up like that (Even though it would be more likely that i'd put an LT1 in), but if you wouldnt mind me asking, how much did everything cost you? Did you just buy a complete wrecked 4th gen, or did you purchase everything individually?

Oh it is going to get better, wait till u see it next year. I have alot of plans still. But i am very happy with how it all turned out. I saw u drive by twice you should have stopped in and chatted.
Total cost of everything is alot more rediculous then just the LS1 swap, the swap its self, heads, cam, clutch, everyting i did for about 7k. On top of that the full 4th gen interior, full suspension, nitrous, i have a total of about 25k into everyting not including the previous carb'd 383 with direct port i had b4 this setup.

Re: Updated pix of the LS1 IROC*
If Sunset Orange Metallic is SOM (a 4th gen color) does that make yours MOM?
Re: Updated pix of the LS1 IROC*
wow man it's very cool project my friend is doing the same, can u please tell me what was the hard job that u had to fit the engine? what about the headers? is it the same one that fit Camaro 98+ ? or u custom one? what about the tranny mounts and engine mounts? cutted anything? or direct fit they were?

Re: Updated pix of the LS1 IROC*
Update, yup its faster than i thought lol, my buddy has a mitsu EVO, built motor, cams, 26psi, 75 shot of nitrous, 100 octane, exhaust, simply badass. Well we ran from 40mph - 120mph and we were dead even thru every gear. My nitrous would have put an end to the race but since hes a good friend i ran him NA. great run, neither of us pulled from 2nd gear all the way thru 4th, i'll probly never have a more even run again.
Interior Pix: I"m workin on pix of my custom door panels, i'll have those tomorrow hopefully. And i'm making covers fro the corners of the dash, they are almost done.

It isnt hard to somebody who is mechanically inclined. Hawks sells all the conversion parts you need, everything fits like a charm. I had to relocate the motor and tranny 2" further back than where it mounted on the chromoly Kmember i have.
Ya i have no hatch struts now. I'm a man of priority, make it fast then touch up the loose ends
thanks for the compliment.
CAge pix: i'll take some new shots here it is with the old interior.

Re: Updated pix of the LS1 IROC*
car does in fact look great. I'm toying with the idea of a LS swap in my 92. I really wanna do it but it would mean selling my 67, for the $ to convert it. The 67 is bone stock, and in need of a full restore, but at the same time, i dont know if iwanna get rid of it too.
Where'd you hide / mount your Computer for it?
What Headers are you running?
You stated you had to move the engine 2" back due to your kmember... what kmember are you using?
What major snags are there when using the dash and guages? Was all the wiring all just plug and play once you converted to the new dash??
My plans are to find a wrecked 01 02 Camaro or trans am, and take the entire dash, wiring, heater box, motor, and transmission right up in my 92. I plan on going with a SPOHN K member for LS cars, as well as a T56 SPOHN Torque arm. Any comments or information is appreciated.

Re: Updated pix of the LS1 IROC*
lol. well the 67 is pretty needing a total overhaul. Either acid dip it or soda blast it. one of the 2. Could you have used the factory guages that came out of the car that the motor / tranny/ dash/wiring came out of?
I dont know if i wanna sell the 67 or not. im in the thought process of it right now. I have my 91 z for daily driver, and my 01 z for that too.. but the pruple beast is my toy, and ive got the itch to mod it hard core again.. so i dunno. Either way beautiful job man.
