few pics from the track

i took the car out to silver dollar raceway in reynolds ga today to play. my dad came out with his super nice camera and took some pics. here's a couple of my car and my little brothers 89 iroc as well (jw89camaro)

we had a good time. it was my brother's first time to the track with a car of his own to go down the track. he managed a best of 15.20 @ 87mph. not too shabby for a mildly modded 89 lb9/auto. hope ya'll enjoy these pics!

Re: few pics from the track

haha, i quit trying, lol! instead of worrying about tearing the paint up, i just grab the pressure washer and go to town. i do it about once every 4 months. the rocks have chipped up the paint back there so badly from doing burnouts, that i just don't worry about it anymore.

funny you say that...i used to run mudflaps and got ridiculed for it big time, and i think you were one of the guys that used to say stuff all the time about how i should loose the mudflaps.

well...they really were too small to do a decent job, i stil had rubber all over my quarters.

Re: few pics from the track

i put blue painters tape all over the back of my quarters when i go to the track, that way I just peel the tape at the end of the day and all the rubber comes right off. Sure looks hokey but at least I don't have to deal with cleanup.

Re: few pics from the track

car looks good Matt.

spray the quarters with PAM or something similar, leaves a slick finish and donesn't hurt the paint. when your done, hit it with a hose and it comes right off.

or goto your local grafix shop they can get you some heavy duty clear cut to shape also. I had my vinyl guy do a new clear piece for my vert tonneu cover

i've heard if you put viseline back there before going to the track clean up will be a breeze.
