My new 1986 IROC-Z *updates*

As you know i sold my 1986 Z28 and i got $2500 for it. I browsed the internet and found a 1986 Iroc-Z that was 2500 but when i talked to the guy he told me he would sell it to me for 1900 and if i wanted his in dash dvd/cd player it would be 2100. So i made the 3 hour journey and made a serious score. Has a light bit of rust but this car is perfect. Has just over 92000 miles on it and its runs like new and the body is great. Check it out and ill post more pics later. These are just the pics he sent to me. sry pc issues ill post pics soon

Re: My new 1986 IROC-Z *updates*

hey man, its a 305tpi, with a 700r4 tranny. Has the consol with the flashlight in it. Needs a lil work on the interior and body. it runs GREAT. The vin #s mathc on everthing lol along with the RPO codes stating its an IROC-Z. So no rerun of last time lol. Here are some pics of it home. Also i could use a new signature pic. so if anyone want to take a stab go for it.

Re: My new 1986 IROC-Z *updates*

It looks like its in great shape. I didn't see any dents or rust in the pics which is always a plus. There is no escaping the infamous pealing clear coat though .

Every time I see one of these threads I remember how I screwed myself over. I paid $1500 for a SC because it "had a 350" (...not...). I put so much time and money into the dang car just to get to the point people normally start :/.

Great find and it should be worth a good penny soon being an IROC.

Re: My new 1986 IROC-Z *updates*

thanks for the comments... i feel loved lol. I went to some bone yard today and ended up with a nice set of 4th gen seats dk/lt gray for $30, sunvisors, 2 front speaks but one was blown, new hood latch and cable, gas and brake pedals, some seat belt guides and a nice "CAMARO" grille. I installed most of the stuff today but ill pst some pics when i get a camera that will take some decent pics. later -Matt

Re: My new 1986 IROC-Z *updates*

hey guys:
SinZ: Yea its touch screen, as far as rust there is a small amount unter the right rear wheel well that is through the metal into the back hatch area but i can get it patched pretty quick.

Brisk: Thanks alot man, its pretty solid and doesn't need much. I think im gonna keep the paint stock color and add the Hawks 5 inch spoiler and thats about it. Im thinkin about some Iroc replicas tho

Re: My new 1986 IROC-Z *updates*

Today i fixed the hood struts so the hood stays up, i put on a locking gas cap, and i fixed the driver door hinge. It was sagging pretty good. Also i had flowmaster 80 series installed. It sounds GREAT! Once i get a decent camera ill get new pics. -Matt

Re: My new 1986 IROC-Z *updates* (56K Ye be warned)

Hey guys here an update and better pics. The others really weren't doing the car justice. These were taken yesturday. I am getting it ready for a show tommorrow. I am also going to be attempting to get with a guy about a cowl hood. He likes the factory and i kinda like the cowl better. SO im gonna see if he wants to swap em. Any opinions on this? Check out the pics and let me know what everyone thinks. -Matt
