My PROJECT(IT STARTS)

Well I'm finally a little less than a week away from sending my car off to get paint and body work. I'm pretty excited because me and my dad have went through some pretty stressful times with this car but also some fun times. We have changed the carburetor, distributor, spark plugs and cables, speedo cable, gauge lights to LEDS, and the hood and the door(door was a huge pain in the ***!!!) Well to start off, I got a 1984 Z28 HO V8 305 for a graduation gift about 7 to 8 months ago(i think my parents bought it for 1000 from a old lady) It was originally red but you will notice that i got a different hood and door which are blue. I plan on getting the car repainted back to its factory color of red and i will probably have to paint the ground effects to red also due to some money budgets. I plan on getting rid of the stickers on the car(the ones above the ground effects) You will notice in the pictures that the car is currently pretty dusty....haven't been able to move it into the garage yet.(currently in a shed) The previous owner got really cheap paint and looks like went over the car in some spots and just put a single coat on and now its got paint cracks and chips in those spots......i have no idea why someone would do this to a car, yet alone a camaro. I happened to be very good friends with the guy who is gonna do my paint and body work(Ive seen his work, he does one hell of a job) and is gonna charge me 1300, which isn't that bad, considering the work he has to do to it. But after paint i will still have to get tires, wheels and exhaust, Ill probably do some other fun things with it in the future. But the Before Pics are on the Way.... I'm open for opinions....tell me what you think

Re: My PROJECT(IT STARTS)

It looks really good. However, you're right, the wheels are really hurting it. Even a good cleaning and repaint of the wheels would make the car look 100% better and it wouldn't be hard to do.
