Took some interior pics of my '92 Z28

Didn't have anything going on today, so I figured I'd take some interior pictures of my '92 Z28.

I have a tear in my driver's seat on that hard plastic piece. I was thinking about getting some electrical tape and patching it up. Has anybody else done this? Or is there a better solution?

That's pretty much the only blemish that the interior has other than the fins in the driver's side vent aren't all there. You can see it in one of the pictures above. I have them in the ash tray, but they won't stay in. I plan on replacing the whole vent when I get a chance.

That's a nice & clean interior . Do you already have the replacement vent?

Re: Took some interior pics of my '92 Z28

Thanks guys! The only other thing I'd like to do down the road, other than the repairs that I mentioned, is to find a stock '91-'92 CD player. Don't get me wrong, I like the CD player that the previous owner installed, but I'm a fan of the stock look. When I purchased the car the previous owner gave me the stock AM/FM/Cassette player. If I can't find a factory CD player then I may just reinstall that.

Here's a picture of the tear that I have on that plastic part that runs along the side of the seats.

Has anybody fixed this in their car? I was thinking of getting some black electrical tape and cutting a small piece off to cover it. Is there a better solution? I'd like to try to take care of it before it becomes any bigger.

I don't know any good fix for that.. but I assure you, electrical tape will just come right off.

That's what I was afraid of. I wonder if any autoparts store would have something that would work better.

Tape of any kind will never fix that. It's a high-wear area that gets stressed every time you get in and out of the car. The only way to fix that is to get it to an auto upholstery shop to replace the "piping" which is a material with an inner core that forms the shape. It'll have to be re-sewn into place. I've done this on our boat when we redid the seats. It's not hard if you have the right tools. A good shop could probably fix that in a couple of hours.
