Re: A Few Updates on My 84 Z28 Build
then later on in the month i found myself a T5 tranny in the junkyard... it came off from a 83 Z28 and to my surprise everything is still good..
i decided to take out my 700R4 since it started to make this weird noise and also that tranny has given 15 years of service ( i should know i was there when my dad installed it)
the whole process took my about 3 day to do since in the beginning i was working by myself and then later in my girlfriend came over to gave me a hand (i was in shock that she wasn't afraid to get some engine grease under her nails) wow..
i had to get an torque arm mount for the T5 since i forgot it in the junkyard i didn't know that the auto and the stick mount were different (it was my first time doing this swap)
Also i would like to Thank Mike(Grey Goose), VicentZ28 for the help and advice they gave me while i was doing my swap.... thanks

Re: A Few Updates on My 84 Z28 Build
then a while later i installed my new edelbrock header... the header were meant for a 350 but since my 305 still has alot of life left in it i installed it
the header i bought them off a member here on TGO for around $300, they were never on a running engine so for me there are new, plus they were ceramic coated..
i did the swap with a friend of my and we told about two day to take out the old stock header/ y pipe and install the new ones..
i have to say the new header sound very nice... and with the 305/T5 it is like i gave my car a new life.... it runs perfect

looking great, i see you've done plenty of work. I've thought of tinting my tail lights but im unsure if i would get trouble with the law, but they sure do look nice though.
Still i say you should drop the car it would set it off just right

Re: A Few Updates on My 84 Z28 Build
Also today my friend Oscar and myself were driving out camaro (he owns a 89 Iroc 350) and where in a tunnel and decided to have some fun... we were going somewhat fast that it sounded like a race track... but the sad part for me that I broke my alternator/waterpump belt.... good thing I was carrying a spare belt... I gotta say that was fun... wish I gottan a video to share...

Re: A Few Updates on My 84 Z28 Build
I am thinking of going tomorrow to the junkyard to see what I find to buy it on Friday since it is 50% off...
And on the ride height yeah I am gonna lower it back to the stock height it was before.. I am kinda not liking how some of my friends are making fun of it... plus it is time to make it look better since I already hit the front spoiler...
I will post pic of my build on my car...
Also to Jr350Tpi... yeah I can send u the info but until tomorrow I will pm u the info..

Re: A Few Updates on My 84 Z28 Build
okay so here are a few things i did to my car
first of all i lower my car back to stock height... yes it was higher in the front then normal but i was able to get it back to normal, the good thing is that i dont hit my front spoiler so i am good so far..
also i will be adding the rest of the new front suspension... with that been done i have done both my front and rear suspension with new parts
i am thinking of buying some after market two piston caliper for my car since sometimes it feels like my car loses braking power... i was thinking of upgrading but i am gonna use most of my funds for another project i am working (gonna be sending it off to paint)
i will post picture tomorrow since i forgot where i left my usb cable for my camera..
