New -2" Cowl Hood!!!

Long story short, this was all done over a 6 dollar football game ticket. Don't worry, I am taking the idiot to court and making him pay for the damage. Took it too the local body shop, and they quoted $2500 for fix it. The OEM hood from them, including new louvers ( about $200 each!) total would be about $1200 of the cost. I much rather replace it with a fiberglass hood. Really sucks though....My poor beautiful camaro got hood stomped

Re: New -2" Cowl Hood!!!

Ok well heres the story:

Friday night, me and my friends decide to go the football game at the high school since there was nothing else too do. We get up to the gate to buy tickets, and see we can buy a family package. So we put our money together and put down for a family package. It was me, and my 3 real friends and one of my friends gf's. We sometimes hangout with this kid that I never really liked, but he came too with his girlfriend. He used to leave over here, but he moved back to socal and visits his gf every week.
So anyways, we put money in, me and my friend cody put in 2 bucks cause thats all we had. The other kid, kenny, who stomped my hood, put in 6 bucks. When we all got tickets, kenny did not get one, but me and cody did. Which I guess pissed him off. So we told him to get our money back and we will gladly give him a ticket. He was just complaining that it was messed up he did not get a ticket. He also said if one of us took one step closer, we'd get knocked out. Me and cody thought he was joking. After that he said whatever guys, thanks and left. So we went into the game and watched. We watched for about 35 minutes before I got a call from my mom telling me the police were on the phone. So I then I found out what happened. I rushed out to my car ready to beat @$$ pushing people out of the way. Get out, see the damage and wanted to cry. What happened was I guess kenny and his gf came out, kenny jumped on my hood, and kicked the tail light and his gf's grandma picked them up. While all that went down, a family was watching them the whole time and luckily got the plate number and called the cops. Cops came and took a report.

I just talked myself into believing that if I don't go kick the living crap out of him, my car will get fixed faster. I don't know, no matter what, my car is destroyed, but it could have been way worse.

Re: New -2" Cowl Hood!!!

Well regaurdless of who had a ticket, that was childish of what he did, Karma is a bitch & twice as bad. Atleast someone saw wut had happened, i say take it to court & pursue it all the way. Have all your witnesses come. Because if it was my car, he would have 2 broken legs & a thumb, his car stolen & burned. But thats me =D

Definitely take it to court. Do you have the name of the person who got their plate? It would probably be useful for you in court.

I'm with mw66nova, he paid the most he should have gotten a ticket. Seems like Karma did come... in the form of a dented hood and a broken taillight.

Now, with that said, don't take it the wrong way, I DO believe he did the wrong thing and you should take him to court. Make him pay for it. Bring witnesses and a solid case. I'm sure you'll prevail. There were other ways the kid could have handled it.

Good luck with getting your car fixed.

Re: New -2" Cowl Hood!!!

my senior year i decided to take my camaro to the game, walked out to my car to and caught a kid kicking in my door, my gf at the time tried to hold me back but no luck i ended up beating the crap out of the kid, and it started a big fight.. like 10 different people going at it. it was awesome! next day the kid gave me money to fix the door, my gf dumped me,

it was a awesome day... moneys and like a hour later a new date. funny thing is the kid had no reason to kick my door n he was just a little punk.

Re: New -2" Cowl Hood!!!

I can understand the frustration of having vandalism done to your car, or anyones property, but resorting to violence by beating the crap out of someone is not the way to do it. Get the police involved and let them take care of it.

Re: New -2" Cowl Hood!!!

I agree if you are standing right there and see someone vandalizing your car...then damn straight I would kick the **** out of him without a second thought, then call the cops, and take him to court to make him pay for it to get fixed!

Re: New -2" Cowl Hood!!!

just because you win a court case doesnt mean he will pay...even if he is ordered to
I know people still waiting for a million dollars....seriously
I dont blame the kid for being ticked off...you screwed him with no ticket
he is still wrong for his actions although you should take the blame for the whole thing

Re: New -2" Cowl Hood!!!

I hope I'am not the only one that finds this **** to funny. You basically spat in the face of this other guy in front of his woman and completely ripped him off and you wonder why he was pissed and was going to knock ya out

Anyways that quote for the fix is ridiculous, just get yourself a nice aftermarket hood and used tail light just incase your stuck with the bill in the end.

Re: New -2" Cowl Hood!!!

Im a kind person, I would have said here is your ticket. Now where is my 2 dollars? or do you want me to give you your money back and I get the ticket. That's what grown up's do. They work things out without violence or I dont give a **** attitudes. Well responsible adults do. It's highschool drama and it is really dumb. He should not have went overboard and damaged your car.

Re: New -2" Cowl Hood!!!

I don't see how I had anything coming. I wasn't the one dealing with the ticket buying, I just put money in to get a ticket. Nobody said how much you had to put it. I clearly stated to him to get my money back and I would give him my ticket. I didn't deserve crap. It would be different if I asked everyone for money and I only put two dollars of my own in, but it was different. Jeez, people are harsh.

Re: New -2" Cowl Hood!!!

You can't blame the guy for being mad about it. I would have been annoyed myself and would have said so straight up. I do think it was a @$$hole move to stomp your ride like that. I would have let you guys know I thought is was BS and Went on my way.
As far as repairs that quote is a bit insane. I would do like many suggested and buy an aftermarket hood and used tail light and tell him he owes me X amount or I am taking him to court.

I would remember this in the future. What goes around comes around, in a way your lucky it was your car and not your face..
