Started mounting the headlight covers. Got two top tabs on each. Need 2 or 3 more in each, and they'll sit better. I like them though, I'm
Gunna do a small lexan rear spoiler too. I just like the look.

Re: Hello all, starting a build thread.
Not much got done today, took a few pics. Painted te underside of the hood all black. Took some pics before I painted.

Still excited on how nice my tail lights came out

Car still has running issues. Runs and revs fine in neutral but with any load it's sputtering and dying.

Well first off a big thank you to 86_irocz-28. He got those badges out promptly and they complete the cars missing emblems. Awesome. Took a few pics today, I'll get more done tomorrow.

Re: Hello all, starting a build thread.
Started straightening out the dent.
Here's what I started with

After pulling it slightly straight

Heating up my bent bumper

I have to get some bondo and fill in the low spots. It should be pretty good when I finish.

Re: Hello all, starting a build thread.
Got a few things from the previous owner. I need help. He gave my the factory shroud, fan, coolant and washer reservoirs, and a bunch of extra parts I can use on the red RS. My question is, how much am I missing for the fan to work?
Here's the fan

Can I just hook up power and ground? How does it attach?
Some other pics.

Body filler I needed, almost there! Looks better than before. Also it was the first day being next to my girlfriends new 91 RS.
Nose emblem filled.

Antenna hole filled

Dent half done

The bumper is all messed up and there's still a lot of low spots, but it's getting better.

Your dash pad looks great. Did you use vinyl? I did on mine and it came out alright but yours looks better. Good job on the build!

Re: Hello all, starting a build thread.
I'll probably start with a 2 or 3 inch lip off the existing spoiler. So we'll see if that looks good. If not I'll make one like on big mods car, or buy the hawks.

Re: Hello all, starting a build thread.
I wish I had the time. The 1/4 turn fasteners I used were from a BMW X3 bottom engine panel. I had a ton of them but they're gone now. The brackets are very simple to make. The lower brackets are L-shaped brackets bent back some and screwed into the bumper. The upper are made of aluminum I bought at home depot. Here's a pic of the first ones I ever made to give you an idea of they look like.

Re: Hello all, starting a build thread.
You will need an optima or another non vent battery. You will know you have a non vent battery when its mountable in any position.... sideways, upside down... which ever way you want. I put my battery in my spare wheel compartment since I dont need a spare wheel. A good non vent battery will cost you about $200 give or take some depending on the battery you chose. Cheap batteries are just that.. A good non vent one will be closer to $300. But that also depends on who you know too I suppose
