1985 Z28 input and suggestions
I have been a member here forever and have not been spending any time here and recently decided to to put this up to show you guys where I am at and get some ideas from some members. I bought this car when I was 15 (Oct of 98). It has gone thru a lot changes and I am finally growing up and getting it where I want it to be. I've tried to clean it up a bit and get away from the cheap add ons. I'm in the process of redoing the interior and adding some modern touches. I am also looking to replace the existing hood and pins with a stock iroc/z28 hood. I have been researching HID upgrades as I have them in my grand cherokee and love them. Also on my list is a 5.3 LS motor swap with a 6speed. My final goal with this is to have reliable fast street car with some modern features. I want a clean pro-touring type setup on somewhat of a budget.

I am also going to be taking the exhaust tips off and either adding the stock ones back on or doing some sort of custom setup that will include cutouts into the bumper.
Quick List of the things I've done:
Complete paint job
Smoked rear tailights
Aftermarket headlight upgrade
Clear side markers
Clear front markers
Rear wiper delete
Side moulding delete
Polished Stainless Steel Emblems
Modern GM emblems
Sportline Springs
18" American Racing Vintage Iroc wheels
Interior:
White face Gauges
New Steering wheel
Re-covered seats
Future Plans:
5.3 LS motor
6speed trans
Stock Z28 hood
Compass/Temp review mirror
4th gen rear with discs
Corvette C6 Z06 Deep dish replica wheels 18x8.5/18x9.5

Your car is beautiful man. When you get your new wheels, you can send your Iroc 18's to me. I love em' I can tell you went with the clean look for your paint and body, but I think it would look great with the black and silver Iroc stripe kit and Iroc decal back on the doors

I am torn on the wheels and would love to keep the Iroc wheels, but with a 4th gen rear the backspacing will be off. I won't ever put Iroc decals on it as its a z28 and does not have the Iroc package. Thanks for the kind words.
