I just hit 200,000 miles in my 1990 rs camaro and it still has the stock 305 and trans never had any major break downs since i got her over 3 years ago but when she goes she will get a new 350


How many miles do you guys have on your stock engines ?

 

sweet, i think mines pushing 140k original. nothing major yet knock on wood

 

Had just alittle over 300kon my original 2.8. Then it started to knock after a seafoam treatment lol. So I got a new 2.8 from a 93 s10 and completely rebuilt it

 

my buddy had his first camaro with 315k miles before he sold it...

 

seafoam did the same thing to my 305 coincidently. I still live by it though.

 

mine just over 140k and runs strong

 

I also had an 84 trans am that spun a rod at 160000 that was the best car i have ever owned i hated the day she left me or i sold her whatever i made a profit

 

Mine says 200k on the speedo, the motor only has 10k. Girlfriends daily 91 RS odometer stopped at 204k, no idea how long ago.

 

there is a sensor on the back of the trans that will fix the speedo issue

 

My intake gaskets went bad after using seafoam. Anyhow my formula is a baby with 60k on it, however the former Camaro 305 Tbi and 700r4 in my s10 has 208k on it with no problems other than replacing intake gaskets and valve seals.

 

My speedo reads 217,xxx. Replaced the ICM recently, other than that she runs beautiful! Needs interior work though.

 

1991 z28 original motor rebuilt tranny. Tranny lasted till 250,000. Motor is still running strong with just a touch of smoke at startup with 267,000 miles. Building a 350 to replace it with. I'm the third owner been in my family since new.

 

Car looks good, OP...don't see too many black ones in good shape it seems.

 

I'm at about 162,800 in my car.
