90 camaro rs

So I'm planning on getting this camaro I saw at the dealer today on Thursday but the guy wants 7000. I'd in great condition with red interior and white exterior, but I feel that might be a bit much. I guess what I'm asking is could I get advice on how much these should go for. Thanks.

Well without pix and alot more details on the car me or anyone else on here can not say. Even with pix and info it's never a for sure thing as pix make everything look better and we cannot get under the car and look at the key rust area's and drive it. Also mileage, drivetrain and options plays a big part in it as well. $7,000 for an RS does seem a bit up there unless it is about perfect and has very very low miles on it.

Well it's virtually rust free, as with most down south cars, I live in Louisiana, it is in superb condition, has great condition interior, it drives great not many squeaks or rattles at all. I'd just like to know how much I should talk him down to. Thanks. It is a v8 I believe.

Sounds like a lot for a 90 RS unless it has very low miles and is pristine. Look in the for sale on this site for comparibles. You can get a Very nice Iroc, or Z28 on here for less money

This is true, 90 was the lowest production year for 3rd gens, but that does not mean they are worth more, I still think it's too much for the car. There is this dealer around here that sells alot of classic and sports cars. They had and might still have a super clean 89 I think RS with like 27K on the clock and they were asking like $12K for it NO WAY!!!!!!! I love my RS, but at the end of the day they are never worth what a IROC or Z28 is worth. I mean for not much more at all I would sell you both my cars LOL!

Re: 90 camaro rs

no possible way that car is worth anywhere near 7k, IF and only if it is a very low mileage and documented car in pristine condition with the TBI motor would i even think of coming anywhere close to 4-4.5k for it(if its v6 i wouldnt go past the 3-3.5k mark)

as said before for 7K(or anything over 5K) you can get a very nice Iroc, L98/auto or LB9/t5 combo

you already said you are in the south, cars are almost always 99% rust free in your area unless they are abused, try to find a nice Iroc/GTA, sure you may need to put a little work into it, but for the price you can get much much better

then again this is all pending photos and information on what is done, maybe it has full tubular suspension, new posi rear, and a built motor, if thats the case just barter with him to see how low you can go

Thanks man, I'm gonna try to see how low I can get the price because I honestly can't see myself paying 7k for a rs

Well since you did not get us pix or car info I would say you are not going to talk this guy down to where you should be on the car. I mean if it does not have crazy miles on it, has an Lo3 in it and T-tops and it's in overall nice shape I would MAYBE go half the asking price or so, but again with no info I'm going to say I can't say like I said before. Good luck on the dealing and keep us posted.
