I like em'. I think they would look really good, but I also like the ROH wheels you currently have on.

I have had them forever, and everyone seems to like them, just that the car needs an update, and I would like to move into some 18's maybe.

And they don't make these anymore for third gen crowd, so I could maybe get a small fortune for them, lol.

Re: Wheels

First off: NICE CAR!

As for the wheels that is a tough one... Sometimes you can pull it off and make it look good and sometimes it just does not belong.... If you have the money to spend on them just go for it and if you end up not liking them, well I guess you can just take them off..

Nice car, but not a fan of your wheels. I think the new ones would for sure look better.

Re: Wheels

I'm gonna be honest and say that it will be a downgrade to the car, or at least with the wheel pictured.

The Roh wheels are designed with correct backspacing/offset to work correctly without spacers and maximize performance with offering 9&10" wheel widths. The Roh wheels are a quality built wheel utilized in OE applications, race, and street. I'm sure the XXR looking Chinese wheel will require spacers, probably be heavier, and may not improve the look enough to warrant the investment of new tires and wheels.

I like what you have, but understand wanting a new look. I'm in your shoes, but if your gonna replace them at least upgrade your wheels. Like maybe its time to look into a set of BOZE wheels. The 2pcs line still nice without being retardly expensive like the forged 3pcs lines are. Or save up another summer and get a set of CCW classics.

Re: Wheels

Yea we chatted about ROH Wheels before. I wish they did them in a 18 that fit our cars. Not too many choices out there, I really don't want Vette wheels, and trying to keep the cost to just a small fortune, lol.

LOL....no problem. I was torn when looking at the pictures of them also. The images on-line don't do them justice. I kept thinking they wouldn't look good on my car, however, once I mounted them, lowered it....it felt like I had a new ride!

That is about as light as they come, it would take a repaint to get them that silver.

Funny you should mention that, I just called and asked the guy about their machine silver they had on their order page, apparently they are coming out with a machine/silver center with the polished lip, just don't have a pic of it yet. So they will be silver after all, which I hope looks killer.

I will probably keep them for a while, not even sure how much I could get for them, and they still have a some pretty decent BFG'S on them. Next Level Motoring(Where I am getting the new wheels) doesn't even have pics of what I am getting, they are that new. I am going off of their description and an older pic I saw on line. Pretty much the same wheel with a brushed/machine silver center, which I think will match the car much better then the chromium black, I hope, lol

I have 21 days after I get them to send them back, so of course I will bolt one up without tires just to see how they look.

I will keep everyone posted.

I like what you have already, and I also second the idea of saving money for some boze or equivalent for the performance aspect.

No not into the all chrome thing, they will have a high polished lip, and I am maybe leaning toward a set of C6 Z06 wheels from oewheels. Grey center with a polished lip. I did ordered the other wheels, and have 21 days to return if I don't like them, I am gonna get one on the car when they show and see how they look.

Thanks

Re: Wheels

I know it's been almost 10 months since the last post, but? I do have some questions to ask

@ heatseeker, the wheels are 18X10.5 and the rubber is 335/30-18? I would like to know the backspacing of the rims and the width of the wheel spacers if you used any?

Also, was there any rubbing at wheel to wheel lock, I am sure there is, but how bad?

Was there any mods to the fender and fender well?

I would appreciate any information on this matter. I wanted to go with 335s all around and was planning on using fender flares.

Thanks Guy.

I posted it in this thread last year.... click here

Nope no rubbing, due to me grinding or hammering or shimming anything that would rub. I don't do hard cornering because I have a spool in the rear. My setup is for straight line performance.
