85 Build Thread

So finally i have gotten deep enough into my car to be able to start this thread, and after i lost my phone, i thought it would be a good idea to get some pictures up and show you what kind of work this thing is going to take. I have big dreams for it and am in the process of restoring it to my liking for street/strip. These photos are the first day i got it into the shop, showing the amount of filler that was on the passenger quarter.

More pictures of the progress. Interior is getting stripped, working on the carpet glue, some real quality wire splicing from under the dash, removed the dash, it was cracked down the center, and the ducting just fell out.

Showing the rust in the passenger firewall, fender-well and the first piece welded back in. Oh, and a slight mishap getting out the passenger window.

Re: 85 Build Thread

Ok so i got her in the booth today after about 5 months of body work, rust repair, and parts scavenging. Etch primed and then 4 coats of 2k urethane primer, will block sand tomorrow because ran out of time today. Fenders and doors are ready for wet sanding. Ready to get her done. No pictures yet, lost my phone.

It must be a good feeling to see it all back together, and one color, even if it's just primer. Keep up the good work.
