I had an 85 IROC that I was told had 215 hp. I then purchased a new 87' which I still own, both automatics. I was told that when I bought it, the engine that year had new roller cams that brought the hp back up to 215, from the 86' 190 hp. If the 87 still has 190 hp as some say, what were the changes from 85' to 87' to decrease the power, and what was done in later years to bring it back up to the 215 hp level for the 5 litre , 305 cu. inch engine.
Thanks, Adrian.
Thanks, Adrian.

You have the peanut cam in the auto car and it’s only 190 hp. Does have a roller cam and lifters. But the specs still sucked on the auto cams. The manual trans cars got the better roller cams.
