I have come from the Dark side
Have done a lot of reading over here on these boards recently.
A few months ago I got my hands on a fully complete running 85 C4 Vette.
Was pretty tickled with it untill i started working on it. Remembered real quick why I never liked working on them. Thing is a huge pain to do anything to.
I had started to do a carb swap to get away from the TPI.
Managed to round up the main parts needed.
But the more I worked on it the less I enjoyed it.
So me being me I started looking for something else.
Found a somewhat local guy selling a '86 Iroc that was in ok shape. Not the best, but defiantly not the worst. So I made a deal with the guy and will pick it up this Saturday.
Car already has a Carbed 350 in it and is pretty much complete from what I can tell. Has a Fiberglass Cowl hood already. and is a complete car as well.
So the plan is to pull the Engine and trans out of the Vette and ill part that thing out. and get the current motor in the Iroc running and play around with it for a while.
Main objective for me is more of a drag car than anything.
So Im doign what I can for reading and learning and really glad to see that a lot of things I was wondering about for future projects arent nearly as bad as they would have been on the Vette.
When I get the car home ill post some pictures of it here for all the masses to relish in the glory of the garbage i picked up
