Finally I own another one (56k beware)

Well it's been a long time coming but I finally got another F-body 1986 Trans Am mildly built 350 with the T5, WS6 package, and the G80 limited slip...along with a few other options but anyway on with the pics

that interior looks great. so does the car, but it needs a wrap around wing imo. how much did you pay if you don't mind me asking.

I actually like that wing better than the other style, don't know why tho haha and yea it is in great shape, took me like 4 years of searching to find one this nice around here...the floor is still white...as for the price it cost me 4,500 which I thought was a good deal. oh and thanks for the compliments

that seems to be a good deal. it just occured (sp?) to me, the Trans Am emblem/sticker is on the door instead of the fender, was this factory?

Re: Finally I own another one (56k beware)

The seats are stock and there redone in leather, and as for the stickers I'm not sure if it came that way or not from the factory or if somebody added them.

Re: Finally I own another one (56k beware)

Ah...I see you have the little air deflectors under the rockers...

I just picked up a garage kept 86 with 40k miles. And it has those deflectors. When I got it, I was like what the heck is wrong with the gfx... My car was the first time Ive ever seen those...and your car would be only the second.

Good looking car!

J.

Re: Finally I own another one (56k beware)

I second the transmission swap. I grenaded my T5 this year so I'm going to swap in a tremec TKO600 and build the engine a little while I'm at it. Beautiful car though, nice buy.

I thought about that, but some people have told me that the TKO wasn't any better than the T5...on paper it sounds better than the T5 but I don't know anyone with that tranny so I can't say anything about it...kinda leaning toward the T56 tho but I can't find any here on the road or in the junk yards. I think there might be like 5 F body's here where I am so whats that tell ya haha

Re: Finally I own another one (56k beware)

the tko is a heck of a lot better than the t5, smack whoever told you otherwise, but the t5 can last a while, just use the clutch and dont power shift it.

Ive got a tko600, and its holding up just fine behind 500hp/tq

Re: Finally I own another one (56k beware)

I figured it was alot better than the T5 but I didn't have any info to back up my reasoning so I just stayed out of it......as for my tranny it should be fine for this summer at least haha
