Re: tinted my tail lights
thanks for the comments! i'm really happy with how they turned out; i pretty much just followed the steps on this site: http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/Tutor...ing_Taillights
I started by wetsanding all of the gloss and part numbers off of the lights with 800 grit, then cleaned them up and i think i used about a half of the can of night shades between the two taillights and the two little front lights.
Then i wetsanded with 1000, and then 1500 over the tint.
After that i sprayed a two or three heavy coats of clear, not heavy enough to get drips and runs, but enough to use up a whole 12oz can of duplicolor clear enamel between everything. I also did the pontiac center piece in between while i had it off, pretty much the same way, but without the nightshades.
After the clear dried, i wetsanded with 1500 for a while, and then with 2000 grit. Then I used scratch-x and an orbital buffer to take away all of the fine scratches left from wetsanding. Last, I used Ice wax and a lot of muscle to polish everything up to a good shine. Overall, it was really easy, but the last step really took some time to get them how i wanted.

Nice! Looks good
I have been comtemplating tinting my Tail lights as well, I have the 85-90 T/A lights, and the grids are seperating (this is my 3rd set
) again, and I figure the tint would hide that, and still light up with the grids when the lights are on.
Looking forward to seeing your tinted signals, I also tinted the front signals next to the headlights on my Formula, here's a pic:

Re: tinted my tail lights
MNFormula350, the reason i actually did the front ones while i was doing the back, is that i was waiting for the tails to dry, and ran across that picture of your car. lol. i did mine just a little lighter though...
