New Member New t/a owner
Whats up guys, my names tyler im from florida and recently got a 85 trans am. it has the 305 h.o. auto trans it needs a good amount of work and was gonna see if yall saw any potential in this car. i have not got a good look at the car and im picking it up in a couple weeks. good deal considering it was free from my grandpa.

i also wanted to add that it has been sitting for a couple years and hasnt been cranked so it should be a little challenge to get it running i am in st augustine currently but i am moving to orlando at the end of june to attend motorcycle mechanics institute in july

At the worst could be fuel tank. Possibly even fuel pump. And definitely oil change and tune up once you run through it. I am also located in Orlando and definitely wouldn't mind giving you a hand with anything!

ya im going to flush all the fluids and throw some seafoam in the fuel to try and breakdown all of the stale fuel and whatnot that has gathered over the years.. but yeah man when i move down ill see where im at with the car but that would be cool considering i have little knowledge of the gen 3's as of now

Yeah you've definitely got some potential there. As long as there isn't any major rust or major body damage then you got something to work with. With a good body, worst case scenario is another engine. But your foundation always starts with the body. So it may take time and some money depending on what routes you take but definitely worth it. And heck you can't beat free any day.
