i have a 82 trans am, im relativly new to this site but nothing too new of the cars been a fame of f-body since i meet a friend when i was 8 and now im getting more serious into cars. any hints or tip on what goes bad quick is appriciated, also any hints or tips on a little extra power thanks

 

Got any pics??? welcome though! you wont get much out of a 305cfi engine but for starters, try an full exhuast, cai, weight reductions, basic suspension/ brake mods. cant think of much right now but use the search option and your find plenty!

i got her for 1000 talked to the guy for about an hour then on my way home i asked him how much he was going to go down to he said he would take 500 off

yeah thanks it has i think 40k on the engine and 90k on the transmission due to a recall is wat i was told

 

when i saw 40k, i almost crap myself! so is 90k on the body or is it just the tranny? still great find though! any plans for her?

 

90k on the tranny theres like 120k on the body i think, and as of now im hoping to go to college in automotive and start draging or racing. iv always wanted to at least race for a bit

 

still 120k isnt too bad, is ther any rust?

 

eh minor only under the hood around the edges and above the hatch is a half descent sized spot and a few misc areas

 

a few electrical probs aswell but so far an easy fix

 

doesnt seem like an bad deal at all! but ya i would start off with exhuast, cai, weight reductions, free mods, the usual. thats if your serious and wanna stick with the cfi, if not i personally wouldnt spend a penny if you are planning on an engine swap soon, but hey a built 305cfi would be awesome!

 

yeah later down the road i wanted to put a 350 or 383 with a T56 then switch to 4 wheel disc breaks and take out the rear but for now im going to use up the new engine and transmission might as well since they practicly new
