My 87 Firebird project

I think i got a pretty good deal on this car. bought it for $600 as it is right now except it needed a new transmission, but i put it in as soon as i could. there is only one horrible rusted spot which is right behind the rear passenger wheel. (don't have a pic of it) The people that had it last cut alot of stuff out of it, such as wires, where the radio goes it is all broken, the heater is ripped out even the fiberglass.
The body has about 200k miles on it and the motor has about 25k miles on it. The tires are pretty dry rotted and barely have tread on them need to get new ones.
Hoping to get a paint job this summer, it needs it badly.

Thinking about putting some gauges in the hood scoop, maybe aftermarket oil, temp and volt.

So many wires not being used on the passenger side because the people that had it before switched it to a carb.

I am looking to put a bigger cam in it with a brand new exhaust system on it, also with new shorty headers. Also maybe some better heads on it. don't know if the ones on it are stock or not. Also really need to get a air filter on it!!
New pictures added to this album here.

Re: My 87 Firebird project

I'm jealous. That's a way better score than the '86 camaro that I just paid $500 for.
