Hey everyone I'm a new guy! Just got a 92 firebird last week as a gift from my dad. It had been sitting in a barn since about 2005 because the owner wasn't very interested in fixing it and only asked $500 for it. Popped a new distributor cap on and runs like a champ!






I plan on doing a pretty moderate restoration. I'd like to keep it original put some fresh paint and fresh decals on. V6 is enough for me however I would like to do some suspension work and a major tune up and refurbishing!

 

Looks to be a solid car and optioned the same as mine(except color.) How many miles? Feel free to ask as many questions as you can. Makes restoring it much easier as this site is full of knowledge and resources. Where are you from, btw?

I'm from Sylacauga, AL its a small city near Birmingham. The car has 89,000 on it. I'll have to take a look around the site, I do need to find some good vendors for parts and such! Thanks for nice welcome!

 

Wish my car had less than 100,000...then again...I probably wouldn't want to swap the motor either. Well, it looks like you need a driver side ground effect. I suggest hawks reproduction pieces. Buy it on e-bay though, it's $149 and free shipping. Their website has it for the same but you pay for shipping I believe. I know it seems like a lot, but, before they started making those, originals that were broken were going for $200+. As for the dash pad, much luck with that. I have seen people selling on craigslist in my area for $150-200 so look to spend that for one in good shape. I know you want to stay original, but I went with the Formula wheels after my stock wheels which were the upgraded version of what you have now and the car looked much better. Like I said earlier, my car was optioned like yours and those wheels were just not cutting it. You will be happier with the Formula wheels as they are larger, yet, a similar design.
