hey guys i have had my trans am for a few months and i thought it was about time to make a thread about her. i haven't decided what exactly i want to do with her so any opinions would be great. i bought it for my 20th birthday from the original owner. has everything original, even the exhaust. here are a few pics i have already done a few things to make her mine ill post more pics of my progress as i get them.

Nice looking 86,very well kept.I want to ask? what is that cable next to the hood release?as far as for my opinion.
I would leave it exactly what it is,ORIGINAL.

 

the original owner had a security system put in when he bought it in 86. theres a key slot under my dash that when i put the key in it a pin pushes into a latch in the hood so noone can open the hood. theres also a big speaker up near the firewall and a motion sensor type thing behind the radiator that i think is all apart of the security

 

so the car is being taken apart to get ready for paint ill have some pictures of her taken apart later. for now here are some of the things i've done to the car

the hood and bumper all of the clearcoat and paint is pealing off and the paints jsut not shiney anymore my uncles owns an autobody shop so im getting it painted there. ill put up pics of my stereo and the disassembly of the car later this weekend

 

so the car is finally painted and half way put back together it was a long 2 months of work

Looks Good,how's the wraparound spoiler??is it still in good shape and are you going to replace the fad dot lower stripe and decals?

 

I just put the spoiler back on the other day its the black vinyl one and its still in good shape. im going to get the decals but idk if im going to put all of them back on we will see. thanks for the compliment
