I have a 1984 trans am with only 30,000 miles on it and I have been through two shifter cables in 4 days. The first cable broke right at the transmission and now this second one goes into gear when it wants to. Im already fed up and dont know what to do since Ive only had the car for a month and Im thinking of getting rid of it.
