Re: "it" has begun....
That's great it is 91 octane. Lots of places if they even have E00 at all it's just 87 octane.
We have 87 and 91 octane E00 at some of the normal gas stations here. We also have E10 in 87, 89, 90, 91, 92, and 93 at many gas stations from several chains. Not all those octanes at the same gas station though. 87, 89, 91, and 93 or 87, 90, and 92. One chain also has pumps with Regular88 E15, with Flex Fuel E30 and E85. Couple places have 100 & 110 octane unleaded out back away from the normal pumps. It's like $9.99 a gallon. 87 octane E10 is $2.49 here. I can't imagine what it's like to pay California gas prices.
I live just down the road from the National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park, they have an ExxonMobil gas station at the track with non-ethanol gasoline in 87, 89, 93, and 98 octane unleaded, and 100 octane oxygenated unleaded gasoline, plus 110 octane non-ethanol leaded for offroad/track use only.
Hey, did you ever get the codes figured out on the axle tube? If not, in Dana world, that's the "BOM". I don't know if it will be very easy to decipher since it's an over the counter axle for an obscure application. If it were a D60 for the front of a truck (for example), it'd be very easy.
Wild im just seeing this, nope, haven't really looked into the axle tube codes

I'm still in paint jail, have material to recover the seats and working on console.
in the meantime, ive opened up another can of worms by doing a valvetrain inspection on my 89. Solid roller, been together for 14yrs. Buying correct shaft rockers and replacing 8 intake valves
Well, let's do something out of my comfort zone, I picked up a 94 LT1 formula.
it's roooooough, has some mods but it isn't rusty. The bottom is really nice. Not pebble beach nice but paint is still on it.
Supposedly, around 54 yellow 94 formulas? Haven't got the numbers book yet
There was a black '96 Formula that used to run around my hometown. Hardtop 6-speed car. Rumored to be fast, never could get the "old guy" to run me. Car would have been a few years old at the time.

Nice! 6 speed? A black or yellow M6 Formula was high on my want list in high school. I graduated in '94 and wanted one of these so bad.
Sadly it's an auto but probably will be swapped.
I wanted this color, couldn't really be to picky about the options.
I don't blame you. Only so many out there so you can't get too picky. I did the same when I got my IROC. I wanted the color and rust free more than anything else.
Does it have the transmission perform button on the console? I'd still drive and enjoy it with the auto.
That's awesome! Love the yellows ones too. Where'd you pick it up at?
It'll be worth the effort.
Saw it on market place in MO, he gave me another no title 94 as a parts car while there. v6-5speed no drivetrain.
and I'm going back for another 02 he has.
