New tires are a bit wider than the firesones and slightly taller.

Yes, normal base an formula bird bumper cover.
Would prefer a nos cover. I have a couple used ones with different levels of shrinking and curling

Cleaned up some dirt and checking a couple bumper covers to see if they aren't shrunk like the original one.

 

I love how you start them right out of the gate in the right direction!

 

Bumper cover stripped completely and off to paint a couple weeks ago.

 

Tony - Did you have your rims repainted? (I forget) what does it typically cost? thinking of having it done for one of my cars.

 

The ronals? Yes, just had the windows repainted and left the factory clear alone. Was cheaper and wanted to keep the satiny clear look.

Well, it will be nice to see you, but when I said "this beauty", I did mean the car.

Do you spend any time out in the parking lot in the evenings? I've never done that, and it appears I miss out on a great deal of mingling. Just hard to mingle when you don't know anyone there. Feel more like party crashing.

 

Thats one of the many amazing things about this show/weekend. You can literally walk up to anyone or any group and be welcome and start a conversation, get lost in time. And going forward your friends with that person/people.

 

Should I bring it to the T/A Nats? Still no hood or front bumper paint but the wheels and rear view are looking much better

Yeah, same here.

Saw okfoz's convertible, but never did catch up with him.

 

Another step closer, still not perfect but they'll fly for me. The logo color looks lighter in pictures and darker in person, pretty wild.

 

Cleaning the old paint off really takes some time hand sanding.

Randomly ran into this guy at wally, he worked @ Firestone when those 1st came out. I tried to buy the hat but he wouldn't sell. Lol


Supposed to be NOS black cloth seat material to make the seats "correct" . Looks to be charcoal color when compared to sample they sent and my original seats. Ugh, back it goes, i guess.

 

not sure I really needed another project but here we are. Guess I'll start a new thread for this one. 92, 350 car, repaint early on in life, decals installed wrong and wrong size tires plus a bunch of little things to repair correctly but it only has 50k plus miles

 

Gotta have something for the kids to drive!
