1983 Mecham Racing Trans Am #123
I feel like these cars do not get enough attention, so I thought I would share. I have a few others but this is the newest one to my collection. As the title states it's a real 1983 Mecham racing Trans Am #123. O.E from GM it was a 5 Speed L69/Non-WS6 with Rear Disc Car. Kinda an oddball of options but I feel it was ordered this way to save money as it does have all the Mecham racing suspension goodies. I have some plans for it but Mostly just going to clean up the engine bay, and enjoy it. My first real L69 car.

I always like seeing the Mecham cars, yet they get little respect/attention in third gens but ppl go crazy for the second gens.

i like the mecham cars but i'm preferable to the 82-84 birds anyway.
i actually have an original mecham rear spoiler that i'll be installing on my build. can't wait to get it on and see how it looks.

cool now I can watch along instead of figure out where It'd be parked and where I'd be sleeping. I know they started these back in the bandit days and had a friend had a 4th gen Mecham T/A that had a bad day with a guard rail but really dont know whet they did to these cars as far as upgrades please enlighten us all

Re: 1983 Mecham Racing Trans Am #123
I swapped out the standard seats it had for PMDs and that's about it. It is a real 1983 L69 but I added the duel intake as they did not come with one. Birds didn't get the duel until 85. Also the electric fan wiring was cut for some reason so I rigged up a temporary standalone fan relay harness just to drive this one a bit to get a feel for it. Needs front control arm bushings but I'm too wrapped up right now with other things to get to it.
