I think this is in order....

Everyone bow before the rain gods, hopefully they will be kinder to us this time.

Past history
Carlisle rained all 3 days
1st 3rd gen meet rain/sun
2nd 3rd gen meet rain/sun

all bow down.

Good news, looks like the rain that they were originally predicting for Saturday is now being predicted for Sunday.

no wonder the car ran 220 all the time instead of closer to 200..

i might install a 180 thermostat while i am buying stuff..

well, if things were left stock 220* is very normal for our cars. Fans don't kick on till about 230*.

Jimmy,

That one I believe is a modine radiator, which is what I have. I got mine from them last summer, and it worked out great! Fit right in, and is a well built piece. About what I expected for a modine. If I was replacing the radiator in -my- car again, I would probably go bigger, like with a griffin. -But-, for your car, being a nearly bone stock car in awesome shape, the modine would be perfect, it looks and fits just like stock. The box should say modine right on it if it is the right one. HTH!

I paid $180 for mine, I believe the one erik is talking about is around $120 or so?

I would just spend the extra $60 now, if you can afford it, just in case for the future.

Yep, I think I paid around $120 or so. The main reason that I recommended the modine is that it's a drop in, and looks stock. If -I- was doing it again, I would do the griffin and make it fit.

Hey MDformula, I'll bring my old radiator for you to have that I pulled out of my car in place for my griffin. The radiator is just a stock radiator but i guess its better than a blown up one. You can have it, I'll bring it up to the meet.

If it helps the "r" issue, I'm not washing my car. Nope. Not me.

I'd be interested in taking that radiator "off your hands" (if the offer is open to anyone in need). Mine has some oily gunk in it currently and some of the fins are bent to s**t.

My rad blew this summer to, can you believe how much crap gets stuck in there, I had a solid wall of leaves that was blocking all air flow. When my car started over heating that was one place I never thought to look. Had I only cleaned it out I would have saved some money.
