So far the most f-bodies at a junkyard i have seen!

I went to Crazy Rays in Jessup, anyone heard of that?

anyway they had at least 8 thirdgens and one v6 fourth gen.

if your looking for parts might want to try that yard out..

a couple of 145 mph clusters, i was looking for some stuff to buy then sell/use but i couldnt find any tpi units, or lt1 units or anything useful to me..... since all that rain it was muddy everywhere..

i thought i found a good set of 89 trans am tailights but looked like someone bashed the passengers side light on purpose!

i could of had a nice find, plus easy access to the wiring harness..

most of the cars had some pretty full engine bays, one or two still had disk brakes rear ends, couple of different colored interiors..

well just wanted to tell any Marylanders or anyone else that if your local junkyard doesnt have any thirdgen's you might want to give them a try.. by far the best selection that i have seen..

anyone know of a better place?

later..

Breintenbach's in Newport DE

He has about 50 third gens ranging from Iron duke cars up thru IROC's

He is a bit on the pricey side but if there is something rare you need, he will probably have it.

Old Dominion Mustang Camaro in Ashland, Virginia (just north of Richmond off I-95). They specialize in Mustangs, Camaros and Firebirds... that's all they carry!

Last time I was at Crazy Rays they only had ONE Camaro. I drive by there every once and a while, looks like I need to stop in and do some junkyard hunting.

I went by Crazy Ray's today, and there 4-5 third gen Firebirds and a couple 3G Camaros. There was a "new" black 305 TBI Formula in, too, that hadn't been raped and pilaged yet. The body was in really good shape with all four 16" wheels making me wonder why the car was even there.

I recently bought the entire black interior plastics from the red 86 Z28. Got a wonderbar there for $5! I stop by at least once a month on the weekends. I missed an aftermarket 12 bolt rear by an hour last year - I was pissed!

Mike's Auto Recycling in Hanover (near Arundel Mills) has about 10 thirdgens, a couple in good shape too!

There's plenty out here in SoCal. Just went to the boneyard today. 2 4th gen Camaros, name your year for 3rd's and one decent 3rd TA with disc rear 2.77's, good T-tops.
Reason I stopped by the mid-Atlantic board, was that a friend of mine coming from NC said he saw a 3rd gen TA that had gone through a Class A Travel motor home. He was sure that the TA owner had not survived the ordeal as a partially chromed engine was strewn about the highway.
Can anyone confirm?
