I don't know that I wouldn't want to hang out with you guys -- but do you really want a mom hanging out with you? LOL. Anyway, I would love to get a crew together to hang out. Seems f-bods are all over in Montgomery County, but nobody meets or the people with the cars don't realize that what they drive is special.
Whatever you decide to do, count me in just for the fun of it. We could start out small and maybe the word will get out and others will join in. Let me know.

lots of fast cars go but lots of slow ones do too...it just wasnt worth the 1 hour long drive if i wasnt going with some freinds.

I think that if we select a meeting place it should be directly off a major highway/interstate such as 2-70 (Rville/Gaithersburg/Germantown areas). That way it's easy to get to and easy directions.
Me, I won't come out until the weather is warm and since my baby's been parked all winter (except to fail emissions, lol) I need to spend the first couple of warm days getting under the hood cleaned up -- I know the rain and weather has made every speck of dirt and grime on my carport stick under the hood, urgh! Also, the six-speed manual and electronic dash is supposed to get installed in the spring and that will take her out of commission for a few days too. But then again, I have two other f-bodies I could bring, so that's probably not a good excuse is it?
As soon as spring hits I know the Jimmie Cone in Mt. Airy starts with their gatherings and it's a good time, but it's all kinds of cars not just f-bods -- bit of a drive for anyone coming from Virginia too.
I bet we could find a car place that would let us hang out in their parking lot -- maybe Excessive Audio off E. Gude, or I think there's a Trak or something right at E. Gude and 3-55, OR maybe the Chevy dealership right there...then again, there's a bunch of speed shops over by the G'burg Air Park, they might like to host us. With the Chevy dealership, with the 5th gen Camaro that maybe coming out, they might like having us, you never know? Let me know and I'll see what I can do to generate interest on the other boards for a Montgomery County gathering place.

sounds good, i know rockvill speed is up on e. guid drive. With meetin up i wasnt talkig about like today or anything{i wana drive my car}{ blown trans} , it just doesnt have to be 3rd gens or f-bodys. But i want to find a place were we wont get swamped by cops and is pretty easy to find. To all. put your input in and this can be better so with planing a meet more ppl can be happy and not be like ehh i dont wana drive out there.

at the sports authority/barnes and noble place, thats like less than 5 minutes from my house, thats why i would always be there. and rockville speed behind excessive audio is a cool place too. the guy that works there is on these boards, hes got a few birds. hes a pretty cool guy, but he doesnt hang out in the local boards, he hangs out in the suspensions and tranny boards. Alos, we should talk with CMF members. maybe all f bodies could come, not just third gens. my car should be running tomorrow (how many times have I said that). I would definantly be up for coming to whatever we plan though.

Depending what parking lot we go to i think they would want us to come ,to give em bussnes and to catch ppls eyes{ooo so many butifull cars, i think im gona stop and look at them....hm its late and im huggry i guess i get some food at this pizza shop}
so far we have:

i might be down and just come in my gf's car just to meet some of you. I dont like the cold months with my car. I havent cleaned her in like over a month cept rinsed off the salt or however much got on her. I drive her maybe 5 miles a day to and from work and thats it. Then we just drive my gf's car anywere. So ya its spring for me before my cars going anywere. Its just too damn cold...bad enough i work outside in it all day and to try and work on cars or go to car meets...ahh i gotta escape the cold. I plan on having my car lookin good by the O.C car show. Im going to that no matter what is done to the car so ya. After that its spring and im up for weekly meets and what not with my car.

What if the ones of us in Montgomery County met somewhere local in the middle? I'm sure we can find a spot to just park and say hello for a little while -- typically a restaurant where we can go in and have a drink (soda, of course) would be fine with us using their lot.
Or let's find something close to 2-70 or 4-95 where everyone could get there easily enough. I can't do anything this coming weekend and the Virginia crew is already meeting up on Saturday. What about next weekend?
I've had my baby out this week already and a little last week -- I'm itching for a drive and a gathering.

something strange happened, i tested it out for manually shifting and it was acting very normal. so i tried just leaving it in overdrive and it was just like it was before. i think the tranny must have just gotten a little hot before. i think im good after all, just gotta be gentle until i get that cooler on.

ZZ4 - you gotta get your tv cable set (not adjusted). If it's not set properly your transmission will do evil things...very evil, lol. I thought you were going with a manual tranny anyway? What happened with that?
Okay -- right now it looks like we have a date to meet -- March 11th (right?), how about at 2:00 p.m.
And now we need a place...
1.) Silver Diner on Rockville Pike (by Executive Blvd.)
2.) McDonald's in Damascus (they have a pretty large lower parking area where the high school kids hang out once in a while, I don't see why we couldn't).
3.) Somewhere else??? Ideas?

12th sounds good. pike sounds good. as for a place to eat, silver diners got a great parking lot, but its only decent for a restaurant. i go up and down the pike everyday, so ill look for something. if you wanna go somewhere cheap, cici's pizza is all you can eat for 4 bucks, and its freaking awesome. ask george, lol, we went there one time when he came down. the parking lot is also pretty big, its the same lot as tgif.

oh yea, and also, i can bring a few guys i know with third gens from the area that arent on here. and i forgot to mention that right behind cicis, theres a flagship, which is a self/drivethru carwash, whichever you feel like. so we can all get our cars looking great for the meet. whos bringing the camera? i can bring it if you guys would like, its a pretty good camera but not the best.

Okay...need an address for Cici's so I can post this up on the other boards I'm on and the date is settled on Sunday, March 12th -- do I have all this right? I want to know before I try to get others to attend.
Thanks!

alright, this isnt like a 5 star restaurant or anything, i mean granted its not trash, but nothing too special, cept the food and the price if you like greasy pizza all you can eat. lol if that sounds fine, ill grab the addy, how many people you gonna invite, i was expecting like 3 or 4 of us. the more the better though, this sounds kinda cool.

I figured I could put something up on all the boards I belong to -- we'll see if there's any interest from anyone else. Since we have more than a week to get others there, hopefully someone else will show, lol.
I'll get it posted this morning on fbodyhideout, efa, z28, clubhioctane, camarosource, camaroz28.....there has to be more Marylander's out there somewhere, right?

I've never had any trouble in Montgomery County with the police, except in my own neck of the woods on Route 27 going between Germantown & Damascus. Only two speeding tickets I've ever gotten were there in the past year...and neither were in my purple beast. One was in the Expedition and the other in the '92 Firebird vert. I always figured it would be in Z28 just because there's no way I can blend into the crowd, you know what I mean?

dont bring too many 4th genners...they tend to be a bit cocky...but not always, just tend to be.
