Transmission: Dying 700r4
Axle/Gears: LT1 rear
Capitol Raceway: Opening Day
Hey guys! Just wondering if any of the third gens I saw at Capitol in Clifton, MD were any of you! I talked to one guy and he didn't belong to this board, but I told him that if he gets on here to say hello.
I saw a REAL nice blue 90+ Z28 there, but I didn't see him run. The guy I talked to had an 89? RS (305 TBI) and was running 15.2-15.3, nice guy just getting a baseline for his car before he works on it I think. Another one I saw running was in the 13's, that was impressive to see, it didn't seem too far from stock, so I wonder what he had done.
There was a Syclone there, always a real pleasure staring at those trucks in absolute awe. Had something like 8,000 original miles....yumm. Lotsa 4th gens (including some V6 Firebirds that HAD to have been spraying or something, they were booking way too fast..lol) and way too many SRT4 Neons.
If you saw a guy walking around with two dogs in tow, that was me, usually in the Lane 1 bleachers abotu the 60' mark. Great times!

I was there...
I think the 13 sec convertible Iroc had an LT1 in it.
The V6 bird that went low 13's (blue with a chick driving) had a supercharger on it.
The Neon's were in full force! Junk!
If you saw the arguement about a street race at the top of the staging lanes, Im the shorter of the two that were arguing. I think our arguement got everyones attention. The guy that I was arguing with doesnt understand the butt-kicking he's gonna get when my GTP comes out of my garage...
