Your opinion on this car please...
Your advice/opinion on this car please...
Hey folks!
I'm a new member here and joined because I'm in negotiations to buy this car seen here on craigslist...
1991 Pontiac Firebird Formula WS-6
After some research it appears that the car belongs to a member here named 1991 Formula. Does anyone here have an opinion about the car and/or know of it firsthand? I'm new to third generation F-body cars but am the former owner of 2 second gen 'birds.
Any help you can offer in the way of advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the opinions so far guys, please keep them coming.

Car seems like a good deal, I would go and look at it in person before being sure though. If you could go down to $3500 I would call it a deal.

its a pretty nice car. i actually did the paintwork on it. although we are in a bit of a quarrel right now, i would not sway you away from buying it. the interior was very nice and at least i think i did a pretty good job on the paint. havent seen it yet with the tpi swap though. just play your cards right and learn what its worth. you wont be disappointed with the car, just be careful. these cars require maintanance pretty often, so either learn or find someone who knows. i got someone who knows right now, but im learning pretty quick. this forum is a great help, and the people here are awesome. good luck with finding the right car

looks really clean. it cant hurt to go check it out and offer him 3000 all he can say is no. then go from there. a friend of mine got a great deal on a iroc that way they were asking 3900 and he pulled out 3000 cash and drove it home that day.

I don't know much about Firebirds, I've owned only Camaros...but when did WS6's come with TBI? I would find it hard to believe that the flagship Firebird would come with anything other than a TPI, but I could be wrong. I'd STRONGLY suggest you do a CARFAX report to make sure you're getting what you expect. My car may have Z28 badges on it, but that only makes it a clone, not the real deal.

Boy, since when does owning four CAMARO'S make you an expert on the pontiac side of 3rd gens? I am under the assumption the all Formula's came with the WS6 package. But that is assumption that should be checked, maybe in the history board. Anyways, his buildsheet, which is posted up somewhere on this board, show's LO3 and WS6 as options on the car.

Um...did you even bother to read the first 6 words of what I said? Here, let me quote it for you:
And I also stated that I could be wrong. The whole point of what I said was to make sure to check the car out, not everyone knows how to tell the truth when they're selling a car. If I gave a damn about the car I probably would have looked up the spec sheet, but since it's a firedbird, and I prefer Camaros I didn't feel like wasting my time.
